Recording
Signature Studios uses industry standard equipment to achieve a commercial, radio-ready sound when recording every genre of music. Each microphone, preamp, and compressor is selected to compliment the client's style and artistic vision. The combination of vintage and modern equipment creates a wide variety of different tones. Audix, Rode, Shure, Focusrite, Joe Meek, Ross, Rupert Neve, Presonus, and Tascam are some of the brands used in the studio.
Mixing
Mixing is a critical part of audio engineering where volume levels and frequencies are balanced to reflect the client's musical direction. Songs mixed at Signature Studios sound balanced when played on different audio systems, exactly as the artist intended. Our digital audio workstation allows virtually infinite possibilities with effects, tones, and colors. The studio uses Avid Pro Tools as well as Avid, Celemony, and Waves plugins.
Mastering
The last stage in the audio production process is called mastering. It involves processing a mixed track in various different ways such as maximizing volume, enriching the overall tone of the song, and adding any remaining final touches. Our studio uses the industry standard iZotope Ozone as well as Waves plugins in Pro Tools to create the ideal sound for each of our clients.
